JUMPSTARTING EMPLOYEES’ HEALTH AND WELLNESS GOALS THROUGH GARDENIA’S CORPORATE WELLNESS MOVEMENT

Continuing the company’s mission of serving consumers BEYOND BAKING, Gardenia Philippines aspires to extend nutrition education to employees in different offices in the country through the Corporate Wellness Movement.

For this program, Gardenia’s team of registered nutritionist-dietitians conduct free lectures and one on one nutrition counseling for employees from the private sector and different government agencies. Gardenia also partners with various health maintenance organizations (HMOs) such as Etiqa, Medicare, New World Diagnostics Inc., Cocolife, and Philcare to extend the program even more to several offices.

A program that aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well Being, the Corporate Wellness Movement was started in 2008 with the primary goal of promoting good nutrition by helping employees in offices achieve overall wellness.

The lectures cover topics such as general wellness, hypertension, FAD diets, nutrition and immune response, as well as diet and mental health. Gardenia’s nutritionist-dietitians also discuss further topics with the employees during their one on one nutrition counseling such as diet prescription and general tips on having a healthier lifestyle.

Employees who participate in this program also get to enjoy free samples of Gardenia’s health breads and its newly launched coffee brand, Coffee Smile.

In 2023 alone, the Corporate Wellness Movement was able to reach 157 offices, helping and educating more than 30,000 employees. This year, the program is aiming to expand its reach by offering both onsite and online activations of the program to more offices.
