Gardenia Goes Beyond Baking with School Nutri-Tour

Staying true to the company’s commitment to excellence in all aspects, Gardenia takes CSR programs to new heights. One example of this is the School Nutri-Tour program, which emphasizes Gardenia’s passion to go BEYOND BAKING by promoting wellness and healthier lifestyles to Filipinos starting from a young age.

A program launched in 2019, Gardenia’s School Nutri-Tour aspires to assist communities thru the schools in lowering the prevalence of malnutrition in children by conducting informative and interactive lectures hosted by Gardenia’s team of registered nutritionist-dietitians. To ensure a fun and memorable learning experience for the students, there are games, exercise activities, and a recipe making activity using bread where students can participate. Attendees are also given a virtual tour of the Gardenia factory and a meet-and-greet with Gardenia’s mascot, Gardee.

This Wellness program is available for both public and private schools from preschool through junior high school. Gardenia also offers online lectures to reach schools with a hybrid setup. For this year’s implementation alone, Gardenia Philippines has already catered to approximately 81,786 students from about 213 schools as of October, and is continuously striving to expand the reach of the program, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well Being.

Schools can sign up for this program by filling out the invitation form which can be found at https://www.gardenia.com.ph/wellness-event/, and selecting the Nutrition Lecture (for students) option. All programs are completely free-of-charge and implemented by Gardenia’s own registered nutritionist-dietitians.
