Data Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Oversee the planning, development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of the company’s data sources.
• Define, implement, and uphold data governance standards to maintain data accuracy, reliability, and security across the organization.
• Build, enhance, and manage ETL pipelines using appropriate data integration tools.
• Work closely with Data Analysts to convert analytical needs into scalable and efficient data models.
• Develop and sustain data warehouse structures that effectively support business and reporting requirements.
• Monitor and ensure data consistency through regular validation, testing, and resolution of ETL issues.
• Collaborate with the Application Development team to apply best practices in data integration and processing.
• Prepare and update clear documentation for all changes implemented in production databases.
• Carry out additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Senior IT Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong understanding and familiarity with ETL processes.
• Proficiency in data integration tools such as Oracle Data Integrator and Informatica.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and other programming languages.
• Experience with Greenplum and Talend is a plus.
• Ability to work onsite and flexibility to extend working hours when needed.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively under pressure.
