Job Description:

The role of an Assistant Production Manager in the Gardenia involves supporting the Production Manager in overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards. Here are the key responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing production schedules to meet production goals.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Implement quality control procedures and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
  • Supervise production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conduct training sessions for new employees and ongoing training for existing staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and work with the team to implement changes.
  • Use lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory usage and stock levels.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential hazards promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports, documenting key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all production equipment is in good working condition.
  • Schedule regular maintenance and address any equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Facilitate communication between production teams and other departments, such as procurement, quality control, and logistics.
  • Participate in production meetings and provide updates on production status and challenges.
  • Monitor production costs and work on cost-saving initiatives.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the production department.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering
  • Should have at least 3 years of solid related experience preferably in a food manufacturing set-up as an Assistant Manager or Managerial capacity
  • Knowledgeable of GMP, SSOP, ISO 900, HACCP, and HALAL requirements
  • Excellent communication skills both in oral or written form
  • Must be an Assistant Manager / Managers specializing in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
  • Willing to be assigned in Mabalacat, Pampanga
