Gardenia Tofu Burger

Ingredients

2 pcs Gardenia Whole Wheat Pandesal
60 ml soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar
½ tbsp white vinegar
240 g tofu
1 tbsp olive oil
2 pcs cheddar cheese, sliced
15 ml pesto sauce
2 pcs red raddish
30 ml honey mustard, sotre bought

Procedure

In a saucepot, combine soy sauce, sugar, and vinegar. Cook over low heat until mixture thickens.

Cut the tofu into four equal parts, transfer to a bowl and pour the marinade over it. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

On a grill pan cook tofu for a minute or two per side.

Top each tofu with cheddar cheese and cook until the cheese melts.

To assemble, slice Gardenia whole wheat bun, spread honey mustard on one side of the bread, place tofu on top of it followed by slice radishes and pesto sauce. Cover with another slice. Plate and serve.
