Garden Sesame Salad with Healthi Grain Croutons

Ingredients

2 slices Gardenia Healthi Grain Loaf
8 leaves Romaine Lettuce
1 pc Carrot, small
8 pcs Cherry Tomato
1 pc Red Onion, small
1/2 pc Cucumber
Roasted Sesame Dressing – to taste

Procedure

Chop the slices of Gardenia Healthi Grain Loaf into small cubes for the croutons.
In a pan, toast the bread until the bread is toasted on all sides (this brings out the nutty flavor), set aside.
Wash and dry the lettuce leaves making sure the pieces are dry and free from pests.
Tear or cut the lettuce to your desired size (usual is 1-2 pieces), set aside.
Peel and slice carrots into a matchstick shape, set aside
Slice cherry tomatoes into 4 or 6 pieces (depending on the size), set aside.
Peel, halve, and thinly slice red onion. (Place the slices in ice water to control the onion taste)
Slice the cucumber into half lengthwise and slice into half moon shapes, try not to make them thick. Set aside.
In a serving container, start with a bed of lettuce.
Then add the carrots, tomatoes, red onions, and cucumber.
Once all the toppings are one, dress with the salad dressing adjusting to your taste preference.
Top your salad with the Gardenia Healthi Grain croutons to give the salad an extra crunch and a roasted nutty flavor.
Transfer to the serving area, divide into portions as needed / desired.
Serve the salad with extra dressing and extra croutons.
Serve and enjoy!
