Tuyo Sardines Pâté

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of Gardenia Wheat Raisin Bread
  • 3 pcs. of Tuyo Sardines
  • ½ cup of Cream Cheese. Softened
  • 2 tbsp. of All Purpose Cream
  • 2 tbsp. of Tomato
  • 1 tbsp. of Hot Sauce
  • 1 tsp. of Salt
  • ½ tsp. of Pepper
  • 1 tbsp. of Parsley

Procedure

  • Wash and dry parsley, set aside
  • Chop parsley into a fine chop, set aside.
  • In a pan with oil over medium high heat, fry the tuyo sardines on both sides until golden brown.
  • Set the fish aside on a paper towel to drain the excess oil.
  • Mince the fish into fine crumbs, set aside.
  • In a bowl, using a fork / spatula mash the softened cream cheese and add all purpose cream, tomato sauce, hot sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Finish with adding the fish and mix well. Set aside.
  • In a dry pan over medium heat, toast the slices of Gardenia Wheat Raisin Bread on both sides.
  • Cut the slices into 4 equal square pieces.
  • Add 1-2 tsp’s of the pate mixture on each bite-sized square of raisin bread.
  • Garnish with a generous sprinkle of parsley to finish.
Transfer to a serving plate / platter.
