Dad’s Portrait Sandwich

Ingredients

4 slices Gardenia Classic White Bread Thick Slice
4 slices Gardenia High Fiber Whole Wheat Bread
6 pcs Black Olive
1 pc Red Bell Pepper, medium
1 pc Carrot, medium
2 tbsp Cheese
Tuna Frittata Sandwich

  • 4 pcs Egg
  • 1 can (155g) Tuna, chunks (drained)
  • 2 tbsp (30g) Cheese
  • 2 pcs Tomato, medium
  • 1 pc Cucumber, medium

Sausage n’ Egg Sandwich

  • 2 pcs Egg, hard boiled
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise, Lite
  • 1 pc Sausage
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 4 pcs Lettuce

Ham Sandwich with Coleslaw

  • 4pcs Ham, slices
  • 1/2 cup Cabbage
  • 1/4 cup Carrot
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

Mom’s MaSigLakas BLT

  • 2 pcs Bacon
  • 4 pcs Lettuce, leaves
  • 2 pcs Tomato, slices
  • 2 pcs Egg
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise

 

Procedure

Drain and slice the olives to make the eye, set aside.
Deseed and slice the red bell pepper into strips to make the mouth, set aside.
Peel and slice the carrot into thin slices for the nose. Set aside.
Tuna Frittata Sandwich

  • Slice the tomato and cucumbers into thin slices, set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix together cracked egg, drained tuna, sliced cheese, salt, and pepper.
  • In a pan with oil over medium heat, cook the egg mixture for 3-4 minutes then finish in the oven until cooked. Set aside
  • Starting with a slice of Gardenia High Fiber Whole Wheat Bread, then layer slices of cucumber and tomato.
  • Next, add a layer of the tuna frittata and top with the 2nd slice of Gardenia High Fiber Whole Wheat Bread
  • Add a line of mayonnaise on the top third of the sandwich and add pieces of the tuna frittata to be the hair.
  • Add olive eyes, mayo nose, and bell pepper mouth.
  • Repeat steps above to make another sandwich.

Sausage n’ Egg Sandwich

  • Peel and dice the eggs in small pieces
  • Slice sausages into 1/4 to 1/2″ slices and cook in a little oil until they get crispy. Set aside
  • In a bowl, combine egg, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and sugar. Chill for about 10 minutes.
  • To assemble, start with a slice of Gardenia High Fiber Whole Wheat add lettuce, egg salad, sausage slices, and 2nd slice of bread.
  • On top, add olive eyes, carrot nose, and bell pepper mouth.
  • Repeat steps above to make another sandwich.

Ham Sandwich with Coleslaw

  • Using a peeler, shred the cabbage into thin pieces, set aside.
  • Using a peeler, peel the carrot. Using a knife, Slice the carrot into thin strips vertically, then vertically again to form matchsticks. Set aside.
  • In a pan with oil over medium heat, cook ham slices on both sides until browned. Set aside.
  • In a medium sized bowl, combine cabbage, carrot, sesame seeds, mayonnaise, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined
  • On your serving plate, place 1 slice Gardenia Classic White Bread Thick Slice.
  • Add a layer of mayonnaise then the prepared coleslaw on top.
  • Add the warm ham slices on top then top the sandwich off with the 2nd piece of bread.
  • Decorate with a slice of cheese cut to be a tie, ham sliced to be hair, carrot eyebrows, olive eyes, and bell pepper mouth.
  • Repeat steps above to make another sandwich.

Mom’s MaSigLakas BLT

  • Tear lettuce leaves in half to fit on the sandwich better. Set aside.
  • Slice tomatoes into 1/4″ thick slices, set aside.
  • In a pan over medium-high heat, cook the egg until the edges are crispy. Set aside
  • In a cold pan, place strips of bacon then turn on a medium low heat. Cook until the bacon becomes crispy. Set aside
  • Starting with a slice of Gardenia Classic White Bread Thick Slice then add lettuce, bacon, tomato, fried egg, and mayonnaise.
  • Top with the 2nd slice of Gardenia Classic White Bread Thick Slice.
  • Decorate with bacon hair, carrot eyebrows, olive eyes, and bell pepper smile.
