Crispy Tilapia Fillet with Tartar Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 pcs. of Gardenia Whole Wheat Pandesal
  • 8 pcs. of Lettuce, leaves
  • 1 pc. of Lemon
  • 4 pcs. Of Tilapia, fillet
  • ¼ cup of All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp of Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 tbsp of Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 tsp of Salt
  • 1 tsp of Black Pepper
  • 3 pcs. Of Pickles
  • 2 tsp. of Capers
  • ½ cup of Mayonnaise, lite
  • 2 pcs. Of Garlic, Cloves
  • 1 tbsp of Parsley

Procedure

  • Cut the Gardenia Whole Wheat Buns crosswise, set aside.
  • Grate parmesan cheese, set aside
  • Mince the pickles, capers, garlic,, and parsley. Set aside.
  • For the sauce, mix all the ingredients together. Set aside
  • In a bowl, make a dry mixture of flour, cayenne pepper, cheese, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat the fish on both sides with the dry mixture.
  • In a pan with oil over medium heat, cook the fish on both sides until golden brown. Set aside
  • Optional: Toast the buns cut side down first then flip.
  • Starting with bottom half of the bun, spread a layer of the sauce.
  • Add a layer of lettuce leaves then the fish.
  • Add a thin layer of sauce then finish with the top bun.
  • Transfer to a serving plate

Optional: Serve with additional sauce, lemon wedge and parsley on the side
