Tofu Burger

Ingredients

  • 4 pcs Gardenia Whole Wheat Bun
  • 1 block Tofu
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 4 leaves Lettuce
  • 1/2 pc Red Onion
  • 1/4 cup Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 4 slices Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Pesto Sauce

Procedure

  • Wash and dry all produce, set aside.
  • Cut the tofu block into 4 pieces, set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix together soy sauce and oyster sauce. Dip the slices of tofu in this mixture.
  • In a pan with oil over medium high heat, cook the tofu pieces (add the extra sauce if desired) Set aside
  • Peel and thinly slice the red onion. In a bowl, combine with onion, vinegar and sugar. Set it aside to let it absorb.
  • Cut a piece of Gardenia Whole Wheat Bun in half horizontally
  • On the bottom part of the bun, start with a layer of lettuce and slice of cheese.
  • Next, add a piece of tofu, then add the red onions, and spread a layer of pesto sauce.
  • Top with the top part of the Gardenia Whole Wheat Bun.
  • Repeat steps above to make the number of buns desired.
  • Transfer to a serving plate / platter.
  • Serve and enjoy!
