Nutty Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 4 slices Gardenia Classic White Bread
- 1/4 cup Peanut Butter
- 1 pc Fuji Apple, medium
- 2 tsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Almonds, crushed
- 2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
- 1/4 cup Butter, softened
Procedure
- Wash and dry the Apple
- Deseed and chop the apple into 1/2″ cubes, set aside.
- In a bowl, mix together peanut butter and honey. Set aside
- In a bowl, mix together butter and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Starting with a slice of Gardenia Classic White Bread, trim the crusts.
- Lightly press on the slice of Gardenia Classic White Bread
- Spread a spoonful of the peanut butter mixture on one half of the bread, leave a 1/2″ border before the edge of the bread.
- Add the apple pieces on the peanut butter then add the almonds.
- Brush water on the edges of the bread and fold the other half over and press the edges together. (The water is like the glue!)
- Brush the top of the pies with cinnamon butter and add some slits on top
- Toast until the tops are brown and the pies are warmed through
- Transfer to a plate / platter
- Serve and enjoy!
