Nutty Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Gardenia Classic White Bread
  • 1/4 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 pc Fuji Apple, medium
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Almonds, crushed
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1/4 cup Butter, softened

Procedure

  • Wash and dry the Apple
  • Deseed and chop the apple into 1/2″ cubes, set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix together peanut butter and honey. Set aside
  • In a bowl, mix together butter and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Starting with a slice of Gardenia Classic White Bread, trim the crusts.
  • Lightly press on the slice of Gardenia Classic White Bread
  • Spread a spoonful of the peanut butter mixture on one half of the bread, leave a 1/2″ border before the edge of the bread.
  • Add the apple pieces on the peanut butter then add the almonds.
  • Brush water on the edges of the bread and fold the other half over and press the edges together. (The water is like the glue!)
  • Brush the top of the pies with cinnamon butter and add some slits on top
  • Toast until the tops are brown and the pies are warmed through
  • Transfer to a plate / platter
  • Serve and enjoy!
