Chipotle Pork Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 pcs Gardenia Multigrain Soft Bun
  • 8 leaves Lettuce
  • 2 pcs Tomato
  • 2 pcs Chipotle Pepper in Adobo Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Atsara
  • 500g Pork Belly
  • 1 tsp Sweet Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt and Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil

Procedure

  • Wash and dry all produce, set aside
  • Slice the tomatoes into 1/2″ slices crosswise, set aside.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the chipotle pepper and mayonnaise. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix the pork belly with all the spices and oil. Mix well
  • In a pan with oil over medium high heat, cook the pork belly on all sides until golden brown.
  • Add a little water and let cook for another 5 mins then remove from the heat.
  • Chop the pork into smaller pieces, set aside.
  • To assemble, cut the Gardenia Multigrain Soft Bun crosswise.
  • On the bottom part of the bun, start with a layer of lettuce and sliced tomato,
  • Next, add a layer of chipotle mayo and pork.
  • Finish the top part of the Gardenia Multigrain Bun.
  • Optional: Cut into individual buns
  • Transfer to a plate / platter
  • Serve and enjoy!
