Gardenia Dinner Roll Panini - Pinoy Barbecue & Salted Egg


Divided into three portions 1 pack Gardenia Dinner Rolls

Pinoy BBQ (sliced into cubes)
1/2 kg Pork, Kasim
1 cup Banana Ketchup
1 tbsp Sugar, Brown
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp Vinegar
pinch Chili Flakes
to taste Salt and Pepper
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup Garlic, finely chopped

1 tbsp Mayonnaise
1 pc Salted Egg


To Prepare Pork BBQ:
1.) In a bowl, combine garlic, ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, chili flakes, and water. Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
2.) Add pork and marinate for 1-2 hours.
3.) Transfer into a pot and boil for 5 minutes. Lower down the heat and simmer until pork is fork tender
4.) Set aside and let it cool.
5.) Using a fork, shred the pork into thin fibers/ floss and return to sauce. Set aside.

To assemble:
1.) Divide Gardenia Dinner Rolls in 3's
2.) Slice one portion in the middle using a bread knife.
3.) Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise and top with slices of salted egg.
4.) Add the shredded pork and sauce then cover with the other half of the bread. Brush butter on top of the dinner r olls and cook in the panini maker.
5.) Cook until crust is golden brown and crusty. Serve once done.
