In early 1997, QAF Limited through Gardenia International (S) Pte Ltd established Gardenia Bakeries (Philippines), Inc. and started construction of its bakery plant in the Laguna International Industrial Park (LIIP), Biñan, Laguna. It is a multinational company with operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and other countries in Asia. Gardenia Philippines began its operations in 1998 with a state-of-the-art bread factory rated as one of the most modern large-scale bread manufacturing facilities in the country. Its major equipment come from the best bakery equipment suppliers from Germany, Holland, UK and USA, making its plant the most advanced baking facility in the country.

Gardenia Philippines offers a wide array of superior bakery products including white and wheat breads, health breads, flavored loaves, pandesal and snack items like snack cakes, muffins and toasts. Gardenia breads are known for their good taste, freshness, softness, oven-baked aroma and nutritive value. The popular Classic White Bread is cholesterol free and bromate free, has zero transfat, and is vitamin and mineral fortified, exceeding DOH recommendations. Its product slogan "So good...you can even eat it on its own" best describes the product benefits.

Gardenia prides itself in being the leader in its field by introducing several firsts in the bread industry. Gardenia is the first in the country to use a unique automated G-lock on the packaging to seal its bread products and retain freshness. This plastic clip is placed on the "neck" of the bread package with the "Best Before" date and retail price printed on it. Our breads are packed in colorful and informative packaging displayed in an upright fashion unlike the conventional flat display.

Gardenia likewise boasts of a unique distribution system that is unmatched in the industry. Adhering to its international policy of keeping only fresh stocks on the store shelves, we deliver freshly-baked breads to the stores on the same day they are produced. With an extensive distribution network, we deliver everyday, seven days a week. This means that you will always have fresh bread when you need it. All unsold breads in store shelves are pulled out and replaced with only newly baked ones during every day of delivery.
